I am so excited about the enthusiasm and response I have received for this club...the purpose, for those who don't know, is very simple...share our handmade knitted items with people who are struggling or suffering in some way. Our first Knitting Club Night will be January 21st - 7pm at my home.
Since we have knitters of all different levels, I am picking two projects to start off with:
- hats/caps - which will go to children battling illness and are hospitalized
- scarves - which will go to the battered women's shelter
The following patterns are only suggestions, if you are an experienced knitter, please fee free to pick your own and if possible, post and share it here on the Knitting Hearts Blog! For those just learning, please just come on the 21st and we will get you started!
